Consultant
Consultant – Financial Services Transformation
Job Overview
Novatus are seeking an agile and adaptable Consultant to support the delivery of a diverse range of projects across financial services. Working closely with Senior Leaders, you will help shape, deliver, and embed practical solutions across business strategy, operations, risk, data, compliance, and technology-enabled change.
You will contribute to client engagements from the outset, gaining hands-on experience while developing your consulting, analytical, and commercial capabilities. Working alongside experienced consultants, you will play an active role in delivering meaningful outcomes for clients while building a strong foundation for your future career trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse clients’ operating models and business strategies to identify transformation opportunities.
- Conduct business analysis, process reviews, and problem-solving to help clients define and deliver strategic, operational, and regulatory outcomes.
- Support client engagement delivery through structured analysis and problem-solving approaches.
- Contribute to transformation roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
- Assess processes, governance, and technology capabilities, identifying improvement areas.
- Apply data analysis and modelling to support recommendations and business cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support delivery and translate requirements into practical solutions.
- Develop clear, high-quality presentations and client deliverables.
- Assist in business development, including proposals and client pitches.
- Support internal initiatives and capability development across the firm.
About You
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, or an in-house transformation team.
- Proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis.
- Demonstrated interest in a consulting career in financial services, including knowledge of key industry themes.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a structured and timely manner.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively within teams.
- Strong learning agility and ability to develop new skills.

Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in designing and implementing target operating models within Financial Services.
- Experience in risk management, operational resilience, regulatory change, or remediation project work.
- Knowledge of business analysis and project/programme management, including roadmap definition, milestone tracking, and RAID management.
- Ability to work effectively in complex, fast-paced environments while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
