About The Role

Consultant Anaesthetists at Practice Plus Group Hospitals work with patients across a range of specialties, including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Dental, Ophthalmology, General surgery, ENT, and Urology.

We are looking for Anaesthetists to join us at our Surgical Centre in Portsmouth, on a permanent contract to cover either full or part-time hours.

As part of our professional, friendly, and compassionate team, you will do everything you can to ensure the patients’ treatment is of the highest standard across a range of anaesthetic services. At Practice Plus Group, we believe in supporting each other and sharing best practice.

You will be flexible enough to become an integral part of that team, contributing to the growth and education of our hospital and its staff. You’ll have several years’ experience, at least 2 of which are within the UK. You are committed to your own continuing medical education and professional development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for producing the appropriate clinical records for each patient. You will work with local managers and professional colleagues in the efficient running of services and will share with consultant colleagues in the medical contribution to management.
