GPS Strategy & Transformation team at Deloitte is dedicated to helping public sector clients navigate this complex landscape and emerge as leaders in a rapidly changing world.
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Consultant/Senior Consultant/Manager to join our collaborative and high-performing team in the Defence and Security sector.
Key Responsibilities
As a Defence/ Security Consultant/Senior Consultant/Manager, your role will involve:
- Leading and delivering complex strategy and transformation projects, focusing on business process analysis and optimisation.
- Identifying, documenting, and mitigating risks and issues with clear recommendations for resolution.
- Reviewing and analysing datasets to generate business insights and provide actionable recommendations.
- Staying current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies (such as AI and robotics).
- Conducting research and analysis based on data-driven insights to inform strategic recommendations.
- Documenting business needs and translating them into detailed requirements.
- Collaborating across teams to identify and address key dependencies.
- Designing and facilitating workshops, interviews and meetings, engaging stakeholders at all levels effectively.
- Producing rigorous analysis to develop evidence-based strategy and change initiatives.
- Presenting and documenting results through clear, compelling reports tailored to different audiences.

- Focus on process analysis, visualisation, and improvement to meet business and technology requirements.
- Engaging stakeholders across various levels and disciplines to analyse processes and suggest improvements.
- Considering cultural and behaviour factors, including non-technology-driven solutions.
- Aligning an organisation’s IT strategy and operating model with its business strategy.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Proven business analysis skills, including the ability to identify, document, and analyse business requirements.
- Experience in a strategic role, analysing current positions and proposing strategies for future enhancements.
- Knowledge of working with Defence & Security industries and/or wider Public Sector.
- Communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong project management skills, including planning and executing within strict deadlines.
- Independence to drive workstreams in the context of broader, team-led projects.
- Ability toNavigate ambiguity and rapidly changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in building collaborative and inclusive environments across varied organisational levels, with a proven record of strong stakeholder relationships.
- Practical experience of strategic decision-making and evaluation.
- Demonstrated creativity in solving client-related issues.
- Structured, analytical thinking to break down complex problems.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on insights and recommendations.
Technical Skills
Experience with JIRA or similar tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Personal Independence Requirements
- Requires eligibility for SC Security Clearance.
- Audit regulations and adjustments for personal independence; restrictions apply to specific financial inducements and employment roles with SEC clients of Deloitte.
