£113,565 – £150,569 per annum (pro rata)

The role

As Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, you'll provide specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and young people 0–18, working across both community services and the acute hospital liaison pathway.

You'll:

  • Deliver specialist psychiatric assessments and evidence-based treatment plans
  • Provide expert input for young people presenting with complex and high-risk mental health needs
  • Work alongside psychologists, nurses, social workers, family therapists and child psychotherapists
  • Support multidisciplinary decision-making and risk management
  • Contribute to service development and clinical leadership across CAMHS
  • Be part of a Trust-wide consultant network with opportunities for collaboration and peer support

About the service

Hastings & Rother CAMHS provides specialist mental health services for children and young people across East Sussex, delivering care in line with NICE guidance and working closely with families, schools and partner agencies.

The service offers:

What we're looking for

We're seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist who has:

  • GMC Specialist Registration (or within six months of entry)
  • Approved Clinician status (or ability to obtain)
  • Excellent clinical expertise in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary working
  • A commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people and families
