Consultant Dermatologist
These opportunities are exclusively for doctors currently based in the USA and Europe who are looking to relocate to the UAE.
About the Role
The Consultant Dermatologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders while delivering exceptional patient care in accordance with international clinical standards and UAE healthcare regulations. The role involves providing both medical and cosmetic dermatology services, performing dermatological procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic dermatological conditions affecting the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic investigations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical practices.
- Perform dermatological procedures, including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, electrocautery, excisions, and other minor surgical interventions.
- Provide cosmetic dermatology services where applicable, including chemical peels, laser treatments, injectables (e.g., botulinum toxin and dermal fillers), and other aesthetic procedures within the scope of practice.
- Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up consultations to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, skin care, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians and allied healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols, patient safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.
- Participate in departmental meetings and support hospital accreditation and quality initiatives.
- Perform on-call duties as required by the organization.

Qualifications
- Board Certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Dermatology from a recognized international medical board.
- Fellowship in Dermatology or subspecialty training is an advantage.
- Valid professional license or eligibility for licensure from the relevant UAE health authority (e.g., Dubai Health Authority, Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, or Ministry of Health and Prevention).
