Consultant Ecologist
GBP30,000 - GBP37,000
Location: Harlowe
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Ecologist to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy based near Harlowe. With over 30 years of industry expertise, the company delivers high-quality ecology, arboriculture, landscape, and environmental consultancy services, supporting a wide range of development and land management projects across the UK. As a Consultant Ecologist, you'll join a collaborative team committed to delivering practical, sustainable solutions while supporting your professional development.
As a Consultant Ecologist, you'll undertake a varied mix of fieldwork and office-based duties, including:

- Preliminary Ecological Appraisals
- Protected species surveys
- Ecological reporting
- Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments

The Consultant Ecologist will work closely with experienced environmental professionals on diverse and rewarding projects.

Requirements

- Experience carrying out ecological surveys and producing reports
- Good knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
- Relevant degree in Ecology or a related subject
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Able to live in or within a reasonable commuting distance of the Harlowe office
- Strong communication and organizational skills
