What You Will Do
Consultants have responsibility for project deliverables, solution implementation and generation of project results. They contribute to project workstreams and interact with the project team daily to ensure engagement success. This includes supporting day-to-day operational meetings with client sponsors and consulting leaders. Consultants are expected to prepare and communicate well-organised, effective reports and presentations to client and internal executives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design project plans, own project status reporting, and manage tracking of client deliverables.
- Work with business units and process owners to map existing processes using Microsoft Visio.
- Conduct detailed analysis on client projects and transform findings into actionable insights through compelling narratives using Microsoft PowerPoint, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Assist Senior Consultants and Managers with project execution, including:
- Assessing, measuring, monitoring, reporting, and remediating operational risk and controls in new or existing business processes.
- Assist Senior Consultants and Managers with project execution, including:
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- Support the team in preparing responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs) for prospective clients.
- Help clients develop or implement operational risk management frameworks, guidelines, and policies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- 1+ years of experience in banking or commercial financial services consulting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and client-focused environment where priorities or scope may change dynamically.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements as required.
- Right to work in the UK, e.g.:
- UK Passport
- Ireland Passport (Common Travel Area Agreement)
- Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
- EU Settled Status
What Would Be Nice To Have
(Preferred but not mandatory)
- Prior management consulting experience.
- Experience in:
- Operational risk (first or second line of defense).
- Big bank compliance.
- Banking regulations, compliance, and risk management requirements.
- Risk and controls current state assessments (including process mapping).
- Certifications such as:
- ACCA
- Lean Six Sigma
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MA or MS in a related field).
