We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a multidisciplinary medical team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services, contribute to endoscopy provision, and support service development, teaching, and clinical governance in line with UK best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities Provide consultant-level care for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions Deliver outpatient clinics and inpatient ward consultations Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy in line with JAG standards (where applicable) Participate in gastrointestinal and hepatology multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings Contribute to acute medical and gastroenterology on-call rotas as required Work collaboratively with surgeons, radiology, pathology, nursing, and allied health professionals Support service development, audit, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives Supervise, mentor, and teach junior doctors and trainees.

Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience at consultant or senior specialist level in Gastroenterology Medical degree with completed specialist training in Gastroenterology (or GIM with gastroenterology subspecialty) GMC registration (preferred) — candidates eligible for or in the process of GMC registration will also be considered Experience in endoscopy is desirable; JAG accreditation or eligibility is an advantage Strong knowledge of NICE guidance and evidence-based gastroenterology practice Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills Commitment to continuous professional development and high-quality patient care. Willing to relocate in the United Kingdom.
