Consultant Hydrographic Surveyor

The Vacancy

Hydrofix have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Hydrographic Surveyor to join the team on a full-time basis. Location is flexible, however our head office is based in Tattenhall, Cheshire. The role will involve a dynamic mix of office, home and field-based operations throughout the UK and Europe.

This role is perfectly suited to talented individuals looking to further their technical career into the offshore client representative & project management fields. We are looking for a career-focused individual who values teamwork, job satisfaction and personal development.

The in-house team of consultants comprise hydrographic, geophysical, cable and geotechnical experts operating on full project lifecycle delivery from early feasibility studies through to hands-on construction support into O&M phase operations and beyond. With a strong focus on site investigation and seabed preparation, our technical consultants add value to every project we are involved in.

Person Specification:

  • University degree in a suitable survey related discipline
  • Hydrographic Surveyor with comprehensive field experience
  • An ambition to continually develop yourself
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in small teams or alone (on & offshore)
  • Customer facing, with excellent relationship management skills
  • Flexibility over work locations (on & offshore)
  • Offshore medical and survival (or ability to obtain)
  • Fundamental IT knowledge
  • Right to work in the UK and preferably also the EU
