Consultant in Acute Medicine - x2 positions
Our team of Acute Consultants describe themselves as a passionate team; because of their fantastic progress the last 5 years we are looking to further expand our acute medical workforce to support our portfolio of acute services.
We are looking to recruit a proactive, forward thinking and dynamic individual to join our expanding team.
About the Role
The Acute Medicine Team is located in a purpose built Acute Medical Unit, next to the Medical Same Day Emergency Care Unit & Acute Assessment Unit and Emergency Dept, and in close proximity to the Surgical Assessment Unit and ITU areas.
The role involves working alongside a multi-disciplinary team covering key service areas. To achieve this the team work flexibly within the acute medical bed base: Acute Medical Unit (AMU), Acute Frailty Unit (AFU, alongside the frailty team), Medical Same Day Emergency Care & Acute Assessment Unit (MSDEC & AAU) and the Emergency Department (ED).

Requirements
The applicant should hold a CCT or demonstrate working towards that achievement within 6 months.
The main duties of this post are the assessment, early decision-making and close co-ordination of the clinical care of patients in the acute medicine bed base, and the provision of leadership to the acute medical take.
