Consultant in Acute Medicine - x2 positions

Our team of Acute Consultants describe themselves as a passionate team; because of their fantastic progress the last 5 years we are looking to further expand our acute medical workforce to support our portfolio of acute services.

We are looking to recruit a proactive, forward thinking and dynamic individual to join our expanding team.

About the Role

The Acute Medicine Team is located in a purpose built Acute Medical Unit, next to the Medical Same Day Emergency Care Unit & Acute Assessment Unit and Emergency Dept, and in close proximity to the Surgical Assessment Unit and ITU areas.

The role involves working alongside a multi-disciplinary team covering key service areas. To achieve this the team work flexibly within the acute medical bed base: Acute Medical Unit (AMU), Acute Frailty Unit (AFU, alongside the frailty team), Medical Same Day Emergency Care & Acute Assessment Unit (MSDEC & AAU) and the Emergency Department (ED).

If you are enthusiastic about Acute Medicine and delivering quality care, then you should join our team.

If you desire a flexible job plan which offers a favourable work-life balance in the face of changes in clinical activities & demands, then you should join our team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
