AWP are seeking a dedicated Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our cohesive and supportive consultant group serving Bristol.

Our consultant body is a team that values shared learning, mutual support and high-quality clinical practice, and we look forward to welcoming new colleagues who share these values.

About AWP CAMHS

AWP CAMHS consists of:

  • Five community CAMHS teams
  • A hospital assessment and intensive outreach team (CIOT)
  • Two Learning Disability CAMHS teams
  • A young person’s substance misuse treatment service
  • Looked After Children’s CAMHS teams
  • A service for young people who engage in sexually harmful behaviour

About the Locality CAMHS Team

This locality CAMHS team provides assessment and treatment for children and young people living in the East and Central areas of Bristol, which covers a diverse multi-cultural population. The post-holder will join an experienced consultant colleague and a well-led, well-established multi-disciplinary team.

  • The diagnosis, management and treatment of children and adolescents with severe and complex mental health difficulties referred to East Central Bristol CAMHS
  • Working alongside an experienced consultant colleague
