Consultant in Ear, Nose & Throat
Consultant ENT Surgeon Opportunity – Jersey General Hospital
Our ENT Consultant will assume a pivotal role within the island’s healthcare system, delivering both:
-
Emergency and elective care for the entire population of Jersey
-
Specialised leadership in Head & Neck cancer surgery
Location and Setting
Based at Jersey General Hospital, the role integrates across:
- Outpatient clinics
- Theatre lists
- Inpatient care
- A 1:4 on-call rota (with compensating TOIL) supported by four collaboratively practicing clinicians who cover all ENT service tiers
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Delivery
- Deliver a high-volume, comprehensive ENT practice
- Lead Head & Neck oncology services within Jersey
- Participate as integral members of:
- Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
- Head & Neck MDT
- Foster seamless coordination between local teams and tertiary partners in Southampton, ensuring every patient receives local continuity + specialist input when required
Operational Influence
- Contribute to service development alongside significant investment and reform initiatives
- Shape future care pathways, leveraging data and local expertise
- Shape the ENT department into a modern, high-quality team with impact across whole-population care
