Consultant Respiratory Physician
Location: Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley

The Opportunity
NHSGGC, in collaboration with the Royal Alexandra Hospital, is seeking to appoint a Consultant Respiratory Physician on a Full-Time basis (10% PA), with the possibility of accommodating subspecialty interests (particularly sleep medicine, though not mandatory).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory medicine care within a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, one of Scotland’s largest district general hospitals
- Lead and improve clinical standards, including managed clinical networks and patient-focused service redesign
- Foster collaborative working with partners such as:
- Community Health and Social Care Partnership
- NHSGGC’s other hospital services

About the Royal Alexandra Hospital
- A modern district general hospital serving ~205,000 people in Paisley
- Full range of major medical specialties

Requirements
- MBChB (Qualified Doctor) with higher specialty training in respiratory medicine
- MRCP/MRCPCH accredited or equivalent
- Fellowships or subspecialty interests in sleep medicine are desirable but not essential
- Commitment to patient safety, clinical governance and workforce development
- Passion for collaborative leadership in a dynamic NHS environment
(Note: Flexible working arrangements are supported where feasible, but this post is full-time.)
Salary & Flexibility
- Salary on a Prorata basis for part-time applications
- Minimum documentation of this post is Full-Time (10 PA), but open to flexible discussions based on individual needs
