Job Opportunities for Doctors in UAE

These opportunities are exclusively for doctors currently based in the USA and Europe who are looking to relocate to the UAE.

About the Role

To provide comprehensive, evidence-based medical care for adult patients by diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions. The Consultant will lead clinical decision-making, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure patient safety, and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and international best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist consultation for adult patients in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and critical care settings as required.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic internal medicine disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based clinical guidelines.
  • Perform comprehensive history taking, physical examinations, diagnostic interpretation, and clinical assessments.
  • Request, interpret, and evaluate laboratory, radiological, and other diagnostic investigations.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with approved clinical protocols and UAE regulations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care with specialists, nursing staff, pharmacists, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor hospitalized patients.
  • Respond promptly to inpatient referrals and emergency consultations.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, treatment plans, medication compliance, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior physicians, residents, interns, and other healthcare professionals where applicable.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality meetings, and departmental activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Comply with infection prevention, patient safety, risk management, and confidentiality policies.
  • Participate in on-call duties as per departmental roster.
  • Engage in Continuous Medical Education (CME), research, and professional development activities.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Medical Director within the scope of practice.
