Connect to your opportunity We are looking for innovative Tax and Technology professionals that are looking to broaden their careers by supporting our clients to transform their tax functions and respond to excise taxes and other environmental taxes that are emerging. As you build your career with us to become an innovative Tax ERP and Tax Technology professional you will be helping our clients to design, develop and implement systems architecture that best meets their business needs, in the rapidly changing tax and legal landscape. Your role will entail gathering the requirements for designing and implementing ERP solutions (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc.) or other tax technology solutions to help our clients to meet their excise tax requirements and/or other emerging environmental taxes (such as plastic and packaging taxes, carbon taxes, sugar taxes etc.) You will be working alongside an experienced and growing team, which is a once-in-lifetime opportunity to support our clients in ensuring that they have the right data, business processes and systems set up for the future. Key responsibilities - Tax Solution Design & Integration: Evaluate client tax and business requirements to design, build, and integrate optimal Excise and environmental tax solutions within ERP and wider tax technology landscapes. System Architecture Optimisation: Assess existing systems architecture (ERP and other tax systems) and collaborate with technical staff to recommend and implement solutions to improve capabilities or fill gaps. Technical Problem Resolution & Business Impact: Assess the business impact of functional and technical choices made and proactively help resolve technical problems as they arise. Stakeholder Engagement & Project Reporting: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on product development, costs, budgets, and project achievements. Emerging Technology Research: Continually research current and emerging technologies (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and propose strategic changes as part of Deloitte's Tax ERP Value Proposition. Regulatory Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor ongoing global regulatory developments related to excise, environmental, and consumption taxes, liaising with legal and compliance teams to translate legislative changes into system requirements. Tax Digitalisation Leadership: Propose and lead proof-of-concept projects for tax digitalisation initiatives, such as e-invoicing and digital compliance reporting. Capability Building & Training Delivery: Lead workshops and training sessions to build tax technology skills among client staff and junior team members.

Connect to your skills and professional experience An MBA, Chartered Accountant qualification or a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting (or equivalent) from a reputable university, coupled with significant overall experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Taxation. Extensive relevant experience in tax consulting, tax technology, or a related field, preferably within a Big 4 firm or a large multinational corporation. Hands-on experience in the following areas is not mandatory but desirable: Excise Tax, and/or environmental taxes (such as plastic and packaging taxes, carbon taxes, sugar taxes etc.), including compliance, advisory, and system implementation. Hands-on (functional or techno-functional) experience and demonstrated proficiency with major ERP systems (preferably SAP) and tax technology solutions. Proven experience in the design of Tax, ERP, and Tax Technology solution architectures. Strong understanding and experience with project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and their application to ERP deployments. Experience with ERP migration processes, developing ERP Functional Specification Documents for tax enhancements, and creating functional configuration documents. Experience with how Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Intercompany processes are set up and operated in the ERP system, including testing and setting up required master data. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively, work under own initiative, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail under pressure. Proven ability to adapt to rapidly changing regulatory and technology environments. Familiarity with AI concepts and an understanding of its potential impact on Tax transformation are desirable A proven track record of successfully managing cross-border or multi-jurisdictional projects. Experience in creating and preparing compelling demos and ad-hoc slides for diverse client audiences. Experience working effectively within dynamic, fast-changing environments as part of multi-functional teams or projects.
