Ophthalmologist - Emersons Green, Bristol

  • Competitive salary.

We are looking for experienced Ophthalmologists with 2+ years experience to join our outstanding, dedicated medical team at our Emersons Green Hospital in Bristol.

Reporting to our Hospital Medical Director, you will perform a range of ophthalmology procedures on patients referred to both services, working in accordance with existing protocols and working practices at our Bristol hospital. There would also be some cross-site working at our day surgery centre in Devizes, Wiltshire when required.

What You'll Be Doing

Required

As well as being able to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems within ophthalmology from your wide training and extensive experience, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Slit-Lamp examination
  • Gonioscopy
  • Fundoscopy
  • Tonometry
  • Refraction

You will also be required to demonstrate a high level of operative skill in the following areas:

  • High Volume Phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia (essential)
  • Eyelid surgery
  • Laser treatment

What We'll Look For In You

  • UK Registered Medical Professional
  • 2+ years UK-based experience
  • Specialist GMC-registered

Please ensure your CV includes details of any relevant experience within the past 5 years, including:

  • Number of cases performed
  • Outcomes from national database (where relevant)
