Duration: From 17 August 2026 to 16 April 2027, for a maximum of 100 working days.
INSPIRE - INvasive SPecIes management for Resilient Ecosystems and communities
INSPIRE - INvasive SPecIes management for Resilient Ecosystems and communities: A nature-based solution for adapting to Climate Change in the Pacific – is a regional initiative implemented across four Pacific Island countries (Fiji, French Polynesia, Samoa and Palau).
To support effective stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, visibility, and the dissemination of project achievements and lessons learned, BirdLife International (BirdLife) has developed the INSPIRE Communications and Visibility Plan. The Plan provides a strategic framework for internal and external communications, guiding efforts to raise awareness of invasive species management as a key nature-based solution for climate resilience and ecosystem restoration across the Pacific.
The overall objective of this consultancy is to provide strategic and technical communications support to BirdLife International (BirdLife) for the implementation of the INSPIRE Communications and Visibility Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Qualification in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 10 years professional experience in the field of communications or journalism.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing communications strategies and high-quality multi-media (print, digital, video, audio) communications products and platforms.
- Established history of working with biodiversity, environmental, and international development civil society organizations.
- Experience working in the Pacific region and with Multi-lateral/European donor-funded programmes and familiarity with brand identity requirements.
- An understanding of nature conservation programmes addressing ecological, social, and climate resilience outcomes in the Pacific, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating stakeholder consultations, planning workshops, and collaborative discussions, is desirable.

- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, creative, and solutions oriented.
- Consistently delivers impact and results for the client and responds positively to feedback.
- Expertise in publication, website and other digital graphic design tools, social media platforms and digital marketing.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multicultural environment and supports effective relationships with clients and external actors.
- Sound judgement and discretion and acts with tact and diplomacy.

APPLICATION PROCESS
In addition to the CV of the person(s) undertaking the work, interested candidates are requested to submit a complete and signed Request for Quotation template, to include the following:
- A complete ‘Proposal Submission Form’.
- Technical Proposal outlining their approach to fulfilling the scope of services.
- Financial Proposal indicating the daily rate and total estimated cost.
- Annex B – Consultant’s Technical Proposal and detailed CV(s), including at least two (2) references from previous work engagements in a similar role.
- Annex C – Payment Schedule and Modalities, as per Financial Proposal.
- Annex D – Complete & signed Statement of Integrity form.
