Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We pride ourselves in trying to match our needs with your aspirations and are open to discussions regarding alternative working models e.g. on/off island arrangements, annualised arrangements, part-time and job share options subject to the requirements of the service.

Role and Responsibilities

You will be based in Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway and will oversee outreach services to other islands and community hospitals. Western Isles Hospital is a modern Rural General Hospital (Plus) containing 85 inpatient beds including 5 bedded acute psychiatric assessment unit. Working in the largest of Scotland’s islands offers a unique opportunity to combine modern and progressive clinical practice with a lifestyle that is difficult to match.

Terms and Conditions

NHS Terms and Conditions of the New Consultant Grade (Scotland) 2004 Terms and Conditions of Service Specialist Doctor in Scotland (2022) apply. The post is for 10 PAs (8DCC +2 SPAs) per week plus up to a maximum of 2 EPAs per week and an 8% availability allowance subject to an agreed job plan. The on-call rota is 1:2.
