York and Scarborough Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to invite candidates to apply to work with us as a Consultant in Paediatrics at Scarborough Hospital.
We will work with the successful candidate in order to develop a unique and ideal job plan to suit the individual’s needs. The post will involve opportunities to work across other sites within the Trust – in particular York, and will have some teaching and supervision responsibilities in respect of specialty trainees.
The Trust is looking for candidates with general paediatric experience, along with a Diabetes and Endocrine interest to develop our existing services and be part of a forward thinking, innovative paediatric team. The post is flexible and is an exciting opportunity to develop new or existing specialist areas.
This post includes a 1:8/1:9 non-resident on call rota.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic generalist paediatrician with solid neonatal skills, who enjoys working in beautiful rural and coastal Scarborough. You will be able to provide all aspects of paediatric and neonatal care and have a diabetes interest. We provide initial stabilisation for critically ill children and neonates with the support of our emergency medicine and anaesthetic colleagues, our dedicated paediatric and neonatal Embrace transport team and regional tertiary teams.
There is excellent on-call family accommodation close to the hospital if needed.
