We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Radiologist to provide remote reporting support across a range of imaging modalities within a well-structured and governed clinical service. This is a flexible ad hoc remote opportunity suited to a senior clinician with strong cross-sectional imaging expertise and NHS Consultant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Remote reporting of CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, and fluoroscopy studies
- Delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic reports
- Support acute and elective imaging pathways
- Ensure safe, clinically appropriate, and evidence-based reporting standards
- Work strictly in line with established reporting protocols and governance frameworks
- Maintain clear and professional communication with referring clinical teams when required
- Provide clinical oversight, validation, escalation support, and professional guidance to sonographers, who will be reporting into the Consultant Radiologist
- Act as the senior clinical authority for reporting governance, ensuring quality assurance and consistency across reporting outputs
- Support safe escalation pathways for complex or uncertain findings raised by reporting sonographers
- Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards across the remote reporting service

Essential Requirements
- GMC registration with licence to practise
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Clinical Radiology (mandatory)
- NHS Consultant Radiologist experience
- CCT in Clinical Radiology or equivalent specialist qualification
- Proven Consultant Radiologist experience in a UK clinical setting
- Strong competency in cross-sectional imaging (CT & MRI essential)
- Ability to work independently and confidently in a remote reporting environment
- Strong clinical judgement, diagnostic accuracy, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to governance, quality assurance, and safe reporting practice
