Company Description

Blackmont Consulting Cyprus Branch is a student-led consulting hub located on the island of Cyprus, focused on combining educational growth with social impact. The branch connects higher education with the local business ecosystem, engaging undergraduate and postgraduate students in real-world projects. It provides pro bono consulting services to NGOs, nonprofits, and early-stage ventures, ensuring that organizations with limited resources can still access quality strategic support. Through interdisciplinary teamwork, research-based problem solving, and structured mentorship, the Cyprus branch tackles local and regional challenges while developing future leaders. This environment offers students practical consulting experience, leadership opportunities, and cross-cultural collaboration within an emerging innovation landscape.

Role Description

The Consultant (Volunteer – Student only) role is an internship position designed for current students interested in gaining hands-on consulting experience while contributing to social impact initiatives. In this remote role, consultants collaborate with project teams to analyze client needs, conduct market and organizational research, and develop actionable recommendations for NGOs, nonprofits, and early-stage ventures. Consultants are encouraged to take ownership of assigned workstreams, contribute ideas during team discussions, and engage with mentors to refine their consulting toolkit and professional skills.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and research abilities, including data gathering, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to structure clear reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, including working in diverse, cross-cultural, and remote teams.
  • Interest in consulting, social impact, and working with NGOs, nonprofits, or early-stage ventures.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort with digital tools and remote collaboration platforms (e.g., video conferencing, shared documents, project management tools).
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program in any discipline; fields such as business, economics, social sciences, or related areas are an advantage but not required.
  • Prior project, internship, or volunteer experience is beneficial but not mandatory; commitment to learning and initiative are highly valued.
