As a Consultant/Senior Consultant/Manager, you will:
- Work alongside industry specialists to deliver impactful solutions for Central Government clients.
- Be involved in all stages of client engagements, from shaping strategy and designing solutions, to supporting supplier engagement and implementation.
- Your work will span design, operational, strategy, change, implementation, and transformation activities, helping clients achieve their strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting and leading the delivery of strategy and transformation projects for Central Government clients (DWP, FCDO, HMRC).
- Conducting research and analysis to make strategic recommendations, using data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Shaping and implementing strategies as part of wider business transformation programmes.
- Designing and iteratively implementing operating models to transform roles, teams, departments, or organisations.
- Designing and facilitating workshops and meetings, engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Developing compelling presentations and reports that clearly articulate findings, recommendations, and impact.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with client stakeholders and third parties, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams (Digital, Innovation, Cyber, and Data specialists) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Leading business case development, strategic options analysis, and evaluation of delivery models.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Contributing to business and practice development, including proposal writing, external client presentations, and internal upskilling.

We are looking for talented problem-solvers with intellectual curiosity, who are ready to be active members of both client teams and the wider Deloytte community.
You should demonstrate:
- Experience supporting or delivering transformation programmes, preferably within Public Sector, or other government contexts.
- A passionate interest in Central Government, and desire to make a difference to the security and prosperity of the UK.
- Demonstrations of strategic thinking, hands-on problem-solving, and innovative approaches to strategic investment in the UK Government.
- Experience working in a strategic role, supporting the design and implementation of future-focused solutions.
- Understanding of pertinent procurement regulations and public sector commercial practices.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to generate insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage and influence strategic stakeholders.
- Strong project management experience, including working to strict deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs.
- The ability to operate in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and build strong professional relationships.
Desirable (though not mandatory):
- Consulting experience or relevant industry experience in Central Government and/or Public Sector.
- Interest in understanding how Central and Local Government collaborate and partner with purpose-driven solutions, including impact investing and broader economic contributions.
