Are you a commercially minded Finance Manager looking for an opportunity to influence business decisions, drive performance and help shape the future of a growing organisation?

We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Finance Manager to join our Finance team, supporting a dynamic Consulting business within NHS Shared Business Services. This is a highly visible role combining financial management, business partnering and process improvement. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, providing insight that supports growth and informed operational decision-making.

You’ll support a diverse portfolio of consulting services across Finance, Commercial, HR and Automation practices, built on a strong NHS contract and an expanding, varied client base. This is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving organisation where you can make a meaningful impact.

This is more than a reporting role. You’ll sit alongside senior stakeholders, contribute to leadership discussions, challenge where appropriate and drive improvements to financial processes, reporting and overall business performance.

This is a hybrid role, initially requiring 2 to 3 days per week onsite in Leeds while you embed into the team, reducing to at least one day per week thereafter, with occasional travel to London and Manchester.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and month-end activities.
  • Manage revenue recognition and financial performance across key client contracts.
  • Deliver insightful analysis and commentary to support business decision-making.
  • Prepare forecasts, variance analysis and financial models.
  • Support business cases, investment decisions and commercial assessments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
