About The Role
The Customer-led Transformation (CLT) Software Managing Director (MD) is a critical leadership role driving PwC’s growth in the $1 trillion global software market—the fastest growing segment of the economy. This role focuses on strengthening the firm’s presence and influence within the software and technology sectors by leveraging deep expertise in how emerging market trends impact customer engagement and software delivery.
The MD will lead the design and execution of innovative go-to-market strategies, pipeline development, and commercial initiatives that bridge consulting, managed services, and digital transformation. Leading initial engagement with software clients, the MD drives downstream implementation opportunities and accelerates revenue growth.
Success in this role requires strong industry knowledge, proven experience handling complex commercial strategies, and established relationships across key software ecosystems and investor networks. The MD will collaborate closely with PwC’s internal solution teams and strategic alliances—including Salesforce, Microsoft, and Adobe—to unlock new growth avenues and create measurable business value.
This is a high-impact role, central to advancing PwC’s leadership in software consulting by addressing evolving client needs and market opportunities through tailored solutions and strategic partnerships.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
