Consulting Practice Manager - Advisory Services

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Consulting Practice Manager - Advisory Services based in United Kingdom.

This role offers the opportunity to lead an advisory practice and deliver high-value financial consulting solutions to a diverse client base.

You will combine technical accounting expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to guide teams and support complex business challenges.

The position involves managing client relationships, developing advisory services, and ensuring excellence in consulting delivery.

You will play a key role in shaping practice growth, improving operational processes, and mentoring professionals.

Accountabilities:

The Consulting Practice Manager - Advisory Services is responsible for leading consulting operations, managing advisory teams, and delivering strategic financial solutions that support client growth and compliance. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, business development capabilities, and strong leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery.

  • Oversee daily operations of the advisory consulting practice and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and enhance advisory service offerings, including tax advisory, audit support, financial planning, and related solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and professional best practices.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and advisory support to clients facing complex accounting, business, and operational challenges.
  • Assist clients with mergers, acquisitions, restructuring initiatives, risk management, compliance, and performance improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to define business development strategies and expand the client portfolio.
  • Mentor consultants and accounting professionals while supporting career development and knowledge sharing.
  • Allocate resources effectively across projects and ensure teams have the support required to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Establish quality assurance processes and maintain high standards of client service and professional integrity.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, advisory experience, and leadership capabilities to manage complex client engagements and develop high-performing teams. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to translate financial expertise into practical business solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAP.
  • Proven experience in advisory services, including tax, audit support, financial consulting, or related areas.
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring professionals, and managing consulting operations.
  • Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • Experience in a senior accounting, advisory consulting, or practice management role is preferred.
