Role Overview
As a Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) specialising in Connectivity, you will partner with sales teams and customers to design and position advanced networking solutions. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, leveraging deep technical knowledge and industry insight to address business challenges across Telecom, MSP, and emerging Neocloud environments.
This role spans traditional networking (DC, SP, Enterprise) and cutting-edge technologies such as Network Automation, SRv6, SDN, Disaggregation, IP & Optical Convergence, and AI-driven Data Centre Networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Consulting & Business Partnership
- Build strategic relationships with customers, partners, and OEMs.
- Shape go-to-market strategies and contribute to WWT’s technical account plans.
- Solution Design & Delivery
- Translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Create proposals, Bills of Materials, and Scopes of Work.
- Present and defend solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Thought Leadership & Mentorship
- Stay ahead of industry trends, share insights internally, and mentor early-career professionals.
- Technical Expertise
- Advise on connectivity solutions across multiple domains.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- WWT Knowledge
- Solid understanding of WWT’s core capabilities, including our Advanced Technology Center, our Integration Centers, and services portfolio.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 10+ years in technology, with proven telecom industry expertise.
- Networking Expertise: Strong knowledge of at least one major vendor (Cisco, Juniper, Arista) and one specialisation (SP, DC, Enterprise Networks).
- Certifications: CCIE, JNCIE or equivalent knowledge.
- Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting ability.
- Mindset: Proactive, collaborative, and passionate about driving transformation.
- Education: Engineering degree (or related).
- Language: Fluent English.
- Execution: Demonstrates a proactive approach and expertise in creating pre-sales deliverables, including Bills of Materials, Service Level of Effort estimates, design documentation, and Scope of Work documents. Brings proven experience in mentoring early-career professionals, supporting their development and growth.
