Consumer Insights Coordinator

Digital & Consumer Insight Analyst – London

Location: De Beers London, UK Reports to: Head of Consumer Insight / Campaign & Innovation Lead Purpose: Make Life Brilliant by providing human-centered insights that shape business decisions through compelling analysis.

The Role

You will bridge digital data, market research and consumer insights to transform raw intelligence into actionable strategies. Work across campaign innovation and digital intelligence to inform the brand’s highest-stakes decisions.

Your focus?

  • Capturing real consumer behaviour through data
  • Translating insights into compelling narratives for stakeholders
  • Supporting trend forecasting from social, search and market data

This role demands analytical prowess, human-centric storytelling, and the curiosity to ask, “Why does this matter” for De Beers Group customers globally.


Key Responsibilities

1. Humanities: Enrich Campaign & Innovation Insight

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape consumer-focused insights in campaign and innovation projects.
  • Facilitate early-stage exploration by integrating stakeholder trends and casting a fresh eye on cultural and consumer shifts.
  • Structure learning plans, objectives and briefs to guide qualitative/quantitative research.
  • Craft actionable recommendations grounded in consumer needs, ensuring insights resonate with real world behaviour.

2. Digital Detectors: Glean Meaning from Signals

  • Maintain and leverage digital tools (social listening, search democrat, dashboards) to monitor consumer data.
  • Pinpoint emerging trends from search/social/MIV analytics and translate patterns into impactful narratives (not just pie charts).
  • Highlight early signals of change in category shifts, demand or consumer sentiment.

3. Insight Architects:Deliver Confident, Relevant Reporting

  • Contribute to regular reports (monthly scorecards, campaign tracking) offering clear “What / So What / Now What” insights.
  • Simplify complex data into focused, implementable insights tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Identify key takeaways that influence strategic alignment for both sales and innovation.

4. Champions: Ensure Insights Impact Decisions

  • Partner with managers to embed insights into operations and stakeholder communication.
  • Prepare debriefs, presentations and materials that translate data-driven insights into action.
  • Enrich discussions with customer-centric storytelling and relatable examples.

Requirements

We’re looking for a digital native with an empathy for humans. Core qualifications include:

  • Consumer insight savviness: Curiosity about consumer behaviour, trends, and cultures.
  • Data whisperer: Ability to translate metrics into compelling stories (e.g., turning trends into the why behind them).
  • Relevance to and analytical processes: Proficiency in market research, consumer insight, analytics, or similar.
  • Digital fluency: Familiarity with social listening platforms, search tools, or dashboards (e.g., Google Trends, Dial, Brandwatch, etc.).
  • Cultural surveys: Exposure to qualitative/quantitative research methods.
  • Team player: Strong collaboration skills, humble appetite to learn from diverse teams.
