Consumer Insights Manager

C&C Group plc is a premium drinks company which owns, manufactures, markets and distributes a unique portfolio of beer and cider brands in its home markets and across the globe. You probably know us best from brands like Bulmers, Magners and Tennent’s.


About the Role

  • You will report to the Director of Consumer & Market Insight and sit within the Consumer & Market Insights team in Brand Marketing.
  • Key responsibilities:
    • Lead consumer and market research initiatives that generate actionable insights to shape brand strategy, product development, and commercial decision-making across the Beer portfolio.
    • Unearth fresh perspectives across our branded portfolio, including:
      • Tennent’s Lager
      • Menabrea
      • Heverlee
      • Drygate
      • Innis & Gunn
    • Collaborate with:
      • Internal stakeholders in Brand Marketing, Sales, Category Insight, and Technical & Innovation
      • 3rd party suppliers and agency partners
    • Manage qualitative and quantitative research
    • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing activity
    • Lead insight programmes such as brand health tracking
    • Convert complex findings into clear recommendations supporting:
      • Short-term targets
      • Longer-term growth plans

About You

As Consumer Insight Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning insight inputs into brand planning cycles
  • Managing:
    • Ongoing research projects
    • Bespoke research projects
  • Supporting innovation through:
    • Concept testing
    • Product testing
  • Translating consumer and market trends into practical actions for brands and commercial teams

Ideal candidate attributes:

  • Experience in consumer insight or market research, preferably within:
    • FMCG
    • Beverage sector, or another consumer-focused industry
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Qualitative methodologies
    • Quantitative methodologies
  • Familiarity and comfort working with:
    • Kantar
    • Nielsen
  • Analytical rigour and commercial curiosity
  • Ability to:
    • Manage multiple projects
    • Manage agency relationships
  • Clarity and influence when:
    • Communicating insight
    • Ensuring the voice of the consumer is central to brand, marketing, and commercial decisions
