Consumer Insights Manager

C&C Group plc is a premium drinks company which owns, manufactures, markets and distributes a unique portfolio of beer and cider brands in its home markets and across the globe. You probably know us best from brands like Bulmers, Magners and Tennent’s.


About the Role

You will report to the Director of Consumer & Market Insight and sit within the Consumer & Market Insights team in Brand Marketing. In this role, you will lead consumer and market research initiatives that generate actionable insights to shape:

  • Brand strategy
  • Product development
  • Commercial decision-making across the Beer portfolio.

As part of this team, you will:

  • Unearth fresh perspectives across our branded and agency portfolio.

Our beloved fabric includes:

  • Tennent’s Lager
  • A fresh stable of emerging premium brands, such as Menabrea, Heverlee, Drygate, and Innis & Gunn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal stakeholders across:
    • Brand Marketing
    • Sales
    • Category Insight
    • Technical & Innovation
  • Collaborate with 3rd party suppliers and agency partners.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing activities.
  • Manage key insight programs, such as brand health tracking.
  • Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations supporting short-term targets and longer-term growth plans.

About You

As Consumer Insight Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Owning insight inputs into brand planning cycles.
  • Managing ongoing and bespoke research projects.
  • Supporting innovation through concept and product testing.
  • Ensuring relevant consumer and market trends are translated into practical actions for our brands and commercial teams.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in consumer insight or market research, preferably within FMCG, beverage, or another consumer-focused sector.
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • Familiarity and confidence working with partners such as Kantar and Nielsen.
  • Analytical rigor combined with commercial curiosity.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects and agency relationships.
  • Clear and influential communication skills, ensuring the consumer's voice is central to brand, marketing, and commercial decisions.
