Consumer Insight Manager (Maternity Cover) – Brand Marketing

Location: Recruitment across C&C Group plc markets (UK & Ireland)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead consumer and market research initiatives, delivering actionable insights that shape brand strategy, product development, and commercial decisions for the entire Beer portfolio.
  • Surface fresh perspectives across PORTFOLIO brands: Tennent’s Lager, Menabrea, Heverlee, Drygate, and Innis & Gunn, integrating insights into brand growth plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with:
    • Internal teams: Brand Marketing, Sales, Category Insight, Technical & Innovation
    • External partners: 3rd-party suppliers and research agencies such as Kantar and Nielsen
  • Execute qualitative and quantitative research, track marketing effectiveness, manage brand health programmes, and distil complex findings into clear, impactful recommendations.
  • Align insight-driven actions with short-term targets and long-term brand growth.

About You: Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in consumer insight or market research, ideally within FMCG, beverage, or a consumer-focused sector, with expertise in:

  • Methodologies: Qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Vendor Experience: Partnerships with Kantar and Nielsen.
  • Analytical Commercial Flair: Balancing data rigour with strategic, business-minded insight.
  • Multitasking: Managing multiple projects and agency relationships.
  • Communication: Presenting insights clearly and persuasively to influence brand and commercial decision-making.

Ideally but not strictly, you will also:

  • Contribute to innovation processes (concept and product testing).
  • Translate market trends into actionable tactics for brand and commercial teams.
  • Own insight inputs in brand planning cycles, including ongoing research and bespoke projects.
