About The Team
The Consumer Core team at Deliveroo owns the in-app experience and how consumers explore our product. Our mission is to help consumers build confidence in ordering and discover “the best in their neighbourhood.” Our team identifies emerging customer needs, shapes long-term strategy for the consumer food discovery journey, and ensures that new features deliver measurable impact. Ultimately, we advocate for the consumer at every step, championing experiences that make Deliveroo feel local, relevant, and delightful.
About The Role
In this role, you will work with product, engineering, and design partners to solve key problems for Deliveroo consumers by developing and testing data-driven hypotheses, generating new product ideas, and improving the overall consumer experience.
You will own projects from hypothesis to implementation to results and will get to the lowest level of detail in order to execute on high-impact experiments. The results of your work will influence business decisions, our consumer and product strategies, and the future of the consumer app.
You will report into the Director of Consumer Strategy and Behaviour, within the broader consumer organisation.
Projects you may work on include helping users discover the best restaurant and dishes, encouraging content creation on DoorDash, using AI to automate existing processes, supporting go-to-market campaigns, etc. You will also be responsible for creating & implementing efficient processes for working cross functionally with our strategic partners.
You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will
- Strategise – Shape our team’s strategy and help decide "what we should do next"
- Build – Design and launch new initiatives from the ground up
- Analyse – Analyse experiment results to inform business decisions and future experiments
- Influence – Partner with other teams - Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Analytics - to drive cross-functional and go-to-market execution

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
