Contact Advisor – Army Careers Recruitment Support – Fixed Term

Job Title

Contact Advisor – Fixed Term (until 31st March 2027)

About the Role

Be part of an inclusive team helping people realise their potential by joining the British Army. If you thrive in roles that empower others—answering queries, guiding decisions, and delivering a first-class experience—this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.

Working 37.5 hours per week onsite at Capita’s Upavon, Wiltshire office, you’ll have access to hands-on support, in-person training, and the chance to build lasting working relationships in a collaborative environment.

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It

"Recruiting tomorrow’s Army today—be the best to support the best!"

We’re Capita Recruiting Partnering Project (RPP), driving transformation in army recruitment. Our mission? To ensure joining the military isn’t daunting or confusing, but rather an inspiring, transparent, and straightforward process for every candidate—whether joining the Regular Army or Reserves.

Your Responsibilities

As a Contact Advisor, you’ll play a central role in guiding candidates towards their dream Army career. Duties include:

Customer Engagement

  • Answer inbound calls from individuals taking their first steps into Army careers
  • Respond to enquiries via online webchat, providing swift and accurate support
  • Clearly explain the recruitment process, army life, and next steps in an empathetic and reassuring way

Internal & Operational Support

  • Maintain accurate candidate records on our internal systems
  • Escalate complex queries to senior staff when needed

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
