Position: Contact Lens Optician
Location: Leamington Spa
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (doe)
Working Hours: Full time – 40-hour contract (Monday to Saturday, 08:30–17:00 with regular Tuesdays and Sundays off)
About the Role
Specsavers Leamington Spa is recruiting for a qualified, GOC registered Contact Lens Optician.
You’ll be joining a thriving store with 30 employees that offers five test rooms (including an Audiology room) and state-of-the-art equipment, such as:
- Nidek phoropter
- Keeler Slit lamp
- OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography)
Responsibilities
As a Contact Lens Optician, you’ll:
- Deliver excellent customer care, ensuring patients feel relaxed and well-cared for during consultations
- Perform accurate contact lens assessments, fitting, and follow-ups in a short-form testing clinic
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, applying the latest clinical practices
- Foster a collaborative, team-focused environment through passion and dedication
- Support professional development to progress your career within the business

Requirements
- Previous experience working in an optician
- GOC (General Optical Council) number (essential for all applicants)
- Qualified and registered as a Contact Lens Optician
- Ideal candidates:
- Willing to grow in the role, from newly qualified to experienced
- Enthusiastic about innovation and development in optometry
