Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Establish EU content business strategy and partnership portfolio through local market research and market sensing in the region, and discuss implementation plans through frequent meetings with partners
  • Discover new partners and services related to OTT / Broadcasting / Media / Platform / Content in EU, negotiating business partnership and launching services for LG Smart devices
  • Create / discover new business models and develop services to expand partnerships with global / regional partners and drive commercialization and financial targets
  • Work with HQ to achieve annual roadmap, revenue goals and renegotiate existing agreements as required
  • Responsible to support strategic KPIs of achieving growth targets by continuously analyzing performance to optimize revenue
  • Work closely with LG Marketing and local Marketing partners for content initiatives
  • Support activities to further strengthen and improve in marketing, operations, development, and other partnerships with relevant departments after service launch
  • Discovering and commercializing prior service concepts in line with the evolving OTT / Broadcasting / Media/ Content industry
  • Monitoring and discussing each country’s new / updated regulation with relevant government; provide real time VOC to the government when arising commercial disadvantage and prepare a counterplan in advance
  • Work with HQ to achieve annual roadmap, revenue goals and renegotiate existing agreements as required
  • Investigate different business models to assist LG to grow its platform business
  • Drive communication, education, data management, performance and reporting across partners
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends / developments within the industry
  • Manage partner engagement to optimize the commercial relationships through co-marketing, technical collaboration, daily communication with partners and HQ. Create and implement new best practices to scale the partnership globally
  • Collaborate with multiple HQ and EU regional teams to coordinate content-driven marketing in support of regional resources, such as in-store management, product PR and to support product sales

  • University degree (MBA will be valued) in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in business development, business alliance management, international business, new business, discovering partner, service commercialization
  • Strong experience in OTT / Broadcast / Media / Platform / Content / Online industry and services
  • Strong experience in Content Distribution or Direct-to-Consumer business
  • Demonstrated ability in discovering partnerships with global / local service providers, building business models, and leading the growth of the business by delivering incremental results
  • In-depth understanding of Media and Streaming businesses in the EU markets
  • Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of agreement structure and business models
  • Excellent communication skills with internal LG counterparts and external stakeholders, such as content providers and 3P tech partners
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strong and trustful relationships with people with diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and at least one other European language
  • Excellent competence in use of Microsoft Office software suite, especially Power Point, Word, Excel, Electronic mail
