Content & Communications Manager

CONTENT & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

CONTRACT TYPE: Full time, PERMANENT
LOCATION: Battersea, London
WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Start times may vary depending on needs of the business.
REPORTS TO: Creative Director & Owner
START DATE: ASAP/August

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a strategic and creative Content and Communications Manager to lead our brand, content, and communications efforts. This role is ideal for a highly organised and visually driven marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, design-forward environment. You will be responsible for growing brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales through cohesive storytelling, content creation, and digital strategy.

DUTIES

Content Creation & Brand Storytelling

  • Plan, produce, and edit high-quality visual and written content across social media, email, website, and print.
  • Conduct regular photoshoots of floral arrangements, studio work, and events.
  • Develop engaging stories around products, seasonal themes, and customer experiences.
  • Ensure a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all channels.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Manage and grow our presence on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Design and implement content calendars and digital campaigns aligned with product launches, events, and promotions.
  • Track engagement and performance metrics, and optimise strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with external digital agency to manage paid campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, etc.) and maximise ROI.

Email Marketing & Website Management

  • Create and manage regular email newsletters featuring updates, offers, and care tips.
  • Maintain website content, including product descriptions, blog posts, and landing pages.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce team to support online sales and seasonal promotions.

Brand Development & Communications

  • Implement integrated marketing strategies (B2B and B2C) to reinforce high-end brand positioning.
  • Oversee the creation of brand materials including brochures, newsletters, and media kits.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (photographers, PR, designers) to maintain communication consistency.
  • Monitor industry trends in florals, weddings, and lifestyle to keep brand content current and compelling.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Develop partnerships with local businesses, influencers, and event collaborators.
  • Represent the brand at community events, pop-ups, and promotional activations.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance brand loyalty and community involvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in content creation, digital marketing, or brand management (experience in a lifestyle or floral-related industry is a plus)
  • Strong photography, video, and editing skills (using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar)
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with an eye for design and detail
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms, SEO, and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Passion for floristry, nature, aesthetics, and connecting with an engaged community

  • Overtime is fully paid at PAUL THOMAS or time off in lieu can be organised
