Content Copywriter (Contract)

Content Copywriter (Neuro-Accessible Resources)

Reports to: Content Manager Contract: Fixed Term or Day Rate Start Date: ASAP (until ~November 2026) Rate/Salary: ~£46/hour or fixed term Location: UK-based, remote

About the Role

Care Companion (part of Healios) builds a digital platform supporting neurodivergent children and young people (ages 6–18) and their families. We’re creating accessible, neuro-affirming content (guides, prompts, modules, and courses) and need skilled content copywriters to shape clinically-reviewed material into clear, age-appropriate digital resources—tailored for interactive delivery.

You’ll align clinical expertise with warm, inclusive storytelling across multiple audiences, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA and platform standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write inclusive content for separate age groups and parents, adjusting tone, vocabulary, and pacing to feel natural while maintaining brand consistency (Care Companion’s voice guidelines).
  • Apply a neuro-affirming, strengths-based approach in every piece, working within a robust editorial guardrail system for safety-sensitive topics.
  • Ensure plain-language text, meaningful alt text, and logical structure for accessibility.
  • Storyboard interactive content (videos, animations) into usable formats for builders/producers.
  • Collaborate with clinical subject-matter experts to draft resources, review drafts, and revise based on feedback.
  • Escalate questions: clinical queries go to the ** clinical lead**; scope sătach/A/V questions to the content manager.
  • Track open assumptions/version control meticulously; flag gaps in briefs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
