Content Copywriter (Contract)

Content Copywriter

Role: Content Copywriter

Reports to: Content Manager

Contract: Fixed Term or Day Rate Contract

Start Date: ASAP until ~ November 2026

Rate/Salary: ~£46 per hour or fixed-term salary

Location: UK-based, remote

About the Role

Care Companion (part of Healios) is a digital platform that supports neurodivergent children and young people (ages 6–18) and their families. We are building a large library of accessible, neuro-affirmative content—guides, prompts, modules, and courses—and we are looking for copywriters to help create it. You will turn clinically-reviewed material into clear, warm, age-appropriate resources, written for different audiences and ready to be built into interactive content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write content for different audiences: younger children (6–11), older children (12–15), young people (16–18), and parents/carers, adjusting tone, vocabulary, and pacing for each, in a warm and human-friendly manner.
  • Apply a neuro-affirmative, strengths-based approach consistently and align writings with Care Companion’s brand and voice guidelines.
  • Produce content to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA), including plain language, meaningful alt text, and clear structure.
  • Storyboard resources for interactive delivery—including video and animation—to a standard that a builder or producer can use.
  • Collaborate with clinical subject-matter experts to shape resources, produce first drafts for clinical review, and revise based on their feedback.
  • Handle safety-sensitive topics carefully within agreed editorial guidelines. Escalate clinical questions to the clinical lead, and scope/content questions to the content manager.
  • Ensure work is organised and version-controlled, while clearly flagging assumptions and unresolved questions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
