What does a Content Creator do at WPP Production?

As a Content Creator at WPP Production, you will be responsible for developing, creating and delivering engaging social-first content for a range of clients and platforms. You will combine creative thinking with hands-on production skills, identifying opportunities within culture and social trends to create content that is relevant, impactful and platform-native.

This role requires a deep understanding of the social media landscape, a proactive approach to emerging trends, and the ability to take content from idea to execution with speed and agility. You'll work closely with clients, creatives, strategists and production teams to develop content that drives engagement and delivers against brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan and create social-first content tailored to the nuances and best practices of individual platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging channels.
  • Plan, film, edit and deliver best in class social content
  • Be willing to feature in, present and voice over any social content
  • Maintain a constant awareness of social trends, cultural moments, creator behaviors and platform updates, identifying reactive content opportunities in real time.
  • Generate creative ideas and content concepts that align with brand strategies while remaining authentic to social audiences.
  • Own the end-to-end content creation process, from ideation and planning through to shooting, editing and publishing.
  • Capture high-quality stills and video content across a variety of formats, adapting production approaches to suit platform requirements and timelines.
  • Edit social content quickly and efficiently, delivering high-quality assets within short turnaround times.
  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, production and client teams to ensure content is aligned with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Manage multiple content streams simultaneously, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attend shoots, events and activations to capture and create real-time content opportunities.
  • Ensure all content is delivered on time, on brief and to the highest creative standard.
  • Contribute fresh thinking and innovative content approaches that enhance client performance and audience engagement.
  • Maintain strong communication across internal teams and external stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Suggests new ways to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Encourage and explore new avenues of potential work through to delivery

Reporting lines and key stakeholders:

You will report to the Executive Producer and work closely with creatives, strategists, producers, photographers, directors, editors and clients. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, creative initiative and the ability to independently execute content at pace while maintaining high production standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience creating successful engaging content for social media. Experience within an agency, production company, publisher, brand or creator environment is ideal but not essential
  • Demonstrable passion for social media, digital culture and content creation
  • Deep understanding of platform behaviours, audience expectations and content trends
  • Proven ability to identify and react to emerging trends and cultural moments with speed and creativity
  • Strong content ideation skills
  • Experience planning, shooting and editing social content independently
  • Proficiency in mobile and ideally some professional content capture
  • Strong editing skills across tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut etc.
  • Ability to work at pace and deliver high-quality content within tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Understanding of content performance metrics and how social content can be optimised for engagement and reach.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, creator ecosystems, AI-powered creative tools and evolving content formats
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally
