Position Overview
Position: Content Creator and Social Media Assistant
Location: London Office (Holborn). In Office required, not a remote position
Schedule: Full time (Mon - Fri, 8 am to 4:30 pm)
Salary: Starting from £34,000 PA
PURESEOUL is the largest Korean cosmetic specialist in the UK. We work directly with some of Koreas top beauty brands to offer an extensive range of over 2000 Skincare, makeup, hair and body products online and via our offline stores. Since 2019, we have been the go-to destination for UK K-Beauty enthusiasts online and offline, with 8K+ 5-star Trustpilot reviews!
The Role
As our Content Creator and Social Media Assistant, you'll help drive the growth of our online channels through engaging, on-trend content that brings our products and brand partners to life.
You'll play an active role in daily content creation, community engagement, trend spotting, and working closely with the wider marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who's passionate about social culture, understands online communities, and is passionate about K-Beauty.
Please note: This role prioritises applicants with previous in-house or agency experience.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and Planning
- Brainstorming & Planning: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and content calendars.
- Trend Spotting: Stay ahead of TikTok and Instagram trends, challenges, sounds, and cultural moments in the K-Beauty space.
- Content Creation: Film high-quality lo-fi videos that inspire our audience for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Whilst also up for being on camera for employee generated content pieces.
- Scripting & Storytelling: Write compelling captions and social copy that reflects our brand tone by crafting engaging narratives and scripts tailored to our community.
- Editing & Production: Independently edit and enhance videos (including adding effects, captions, and voiceovers).
- Analytics & Reporting: Track performance metrics, share insights, and recommend improvements to boost reach and engagement.
- Maintain and grow PURESEOULs Pinterest presence through consistent pinning, board creation, and content optimisation.

Social Media Community Support
- Act as the first point of contact for our online community across all social channels.
- Respond to comments, DMs, tags and mentions in a timely, friendly and on-brand manner.
- Engage proactively with relevant creators, customers and brand partners to strengthen PURESEOULs digital presence.
- Monitor audience sentiment and flag emerging topics, FAQs or community insights to the marketing team.
About You (Our Ideal Candidate)
- You're obsessed with K-Beauty, not just the products, but the culture, the trends, and the community.
- Confident and comfortable in front of the camera.
- You've created in-house content for brands before (ideally in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle) and know how to balance storytelling with aesthetic appeal.
- Skilled with tools like CapCut, Canva (or similar).
- Strong copywriting instincts, you can adapt tone and style across platforms with ease.
- Highly organised and reliable, with the time-management skills to plan ahead whilst juggling multiple projects at once.
- Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Positive, proactive, and genuinely passionate about creating content that builds community, not just views.

Frequent Travel Expectations
Although the job is primarily based in Central London, candidates must have the flexibility for both international travel and on-site work commitments. Travel may be required regularly, overnight, and on short notice for industry events, client meetings, as well as potential extended periods working from our West London warehouse.
Team Collaboration & Flexibility
As part of a small and dynamic team, there will be occasional opportunities to assist with activities outside of core responsibilities, such as helping with store openings, supporting team events, or assisting with ad-hoc projects. While these tasks are optional, we really value a collaborative spirit and the willingness to step in and support each other when needed.
