In a time of social breakdown, loneliness, shallow algorithms, tech anxiety, and dopamine-hijacking UX, we're crafting something radically different. Why This Role Is Mission-Critical
This is our first storytelling hire. The way people discover ideas, missions, products, and movements has fundamentally changed. Stories are no longer a support function. Stories are the distribution. Stories are the culture. For the best missions & companies, stories become an extension of the product itself.
We're looking for someone exceptional at visual storytelling. Someone who feels deeply. Someone who notices the beauty, tragedy, wonder, humor, and meaning hidden in everyday life & knows how to translate those things into films, videos, conversations, and stories that move people.
Your job is simple to describe and very difficult to do: Tell stories so compelling that people can't stop watching.
What You'll Create
We are building around three major content pillars.
Educational & Idea-Driven Content
Thought-provoking videos exploring technology, relationships, psychology, creativity, society, AI, meaning, and human flourishing. These aren't explainer videos. These person-talking-to-the-camera videos are designed to help people think more deeply, ask better questions, and develop richer mental models of the world. You'll help bring these ideas to life through visual storytelling, filming, editing, and creative experimentation.
Science-Fiction Films & Narrative Storytelling
This is the pillar we're most excited about. We'll be creating short-to-medium length films, narrative experiences, speculative fiction, and near-future science fiction stories. The stories will invert the largely cold, cynical, or dystopian tropes found in much of sci-fi, which ends up creating self-fulfilling prophecies. Our stories will explore love, connection, meaning, friendship, creativity, agency, and the role technology might play in helping humans live richer lives. AI is dramatically lowering the barriers to filmmaking. Small teams can now create experiences that previously required entire studios. We intend to push that opportunity to its limits, as we try out many experiments around how storytelling can be done and delivered today.

Podcasts & Long-Form Conversations
We'll create thoughtful long-form conversations with researchers, builders, scientists, creators, academics, philosophers, and thinkers. The goal is to develop depth of thought around important questions we should all start grappling with as we enter a post-AGI world. You'll help film, produce, edit, package, re-purpose, and elevate these conversations into content people want to watch.
Your Responsibilities
- Create exceptional video content across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and future platforms
- Film and edit educational content, documentaries, podcasts, short films, interviews, and storytelling pieces
- Appear on camera and help others feel natural and compelling on camera
- Develop concepts, narratives, visual styles, storyboards, and creative treatments
- Capture beautiful footage, moments, conversations, and stories
- Work with AI filmmaking tools and emerging creative technologies
- Create content that stands on its own, even for people who have never heard of Elinity
- Constantly experiment with new storytelling formats, styles, and creative approaches
- Help define the visual language and storytelling voice of Elinity
- Tell stories that make people feel deeply, that move them
Who You Are
You're a world-class storyteller. You instinctively understand narrative, emotion, pacing, tension, curiosity, beauty, and meaning. You're the sort of person who watches a film and notices why a scene worked. You love documentaries. You love cinema. You love YouTube. You love podcasts. You love stories in all their forms. You have strong visual taste. You understand framing, composition, editing, music, atmosphere, and emotion. You know how to create videos people actually want to watch. You're comfortable behind the camera and comfortable in front of it. You can interview people, tell stories directly to the camera, host conversations, and make audiences feel connected. You care deeply about people. You are fascinated by relationships, psychology, creativity, meaning, human behavior, and the human condition. You're excited by the possibility that storytelling can genuinely improve people's lives. You're highly self-directed. You don't wait for permission. You have ideas constantly. You feel a strong urge to create.
Most importantly, you care about the mission. Because the best storytellers don't just tell stories. They believe in what they're telling, and that belief oozes through every single part of their art and their craft.

The Context In Which We Are Building
