Content Designer - 12 Month FTC

Content Designer - 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: London Salary: £72,702 - £80,780 Hours: Full-time Working Pattern: Hybrid (two days per week or 40% in-office)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Content Designer to craft compelling digital experiences by shaping the tone, voice, and personality of our apps and websites—ultimately helping customers achieve their goals.

Within this team, you’ll merge insights from user research with empathy-driven language to refine customer conversations. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and product teams to align content with success metrics while working in an agile environment.

As the content expert, you’ll:

  • Create engaging, readable, accessible digital content that enhances customer experiences.
  • Develop genuine empathy for users by understanding their needs, challenges, and aspirations.
  • Take ownership of content strategy while remaining flexible in multiple tones of voice.
  • Spot opportunities to refine and link conversations across touchpoints.
  • Influence the broader design approach, ensuring consistency in customer conversations.
  • Advocate for clear, effective writing and its positive customer impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design on-brand copy tailored to different customer needs.
  • Work in collaborative multidisciplinary teams to solve UX/write problems holistically.
  • Align content strategies with business goals and product roadmaps.
  • Provide expert feedback to development and design teams.
  • Track and refine success metrics that demonstrate content effectiveness.
  • Use Figma and similar design tools to refine proofing processes.

Experience and Skills

  • Portfolio/awards in conversation design, UX writing, or content design (essential).
  • Familiarity with financial services and user-focused technology industries is beneficial.
  • Collaborative mindset adaptable to agile environments and diverse stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to balance creativity with business alignment—for example, striking the right tone while adhering to compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with technical teams including risk, legal, and product:
    • Bridging gaps between technical constraints and user needs.
  • Hands-on comfort with Figma, or similar UX design tools.
