Hybrid – Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield or Blackpool (1–2 days per month onsite)
SC Eligible Required Initial Contract – ASAP Start

We are supporting a major government programme seeking an experienced Content Designer to join a multidisciplinary User-Centred Design team.

Working alongside Senior Content Designers, User Researchers, Service Designers and other digital specialists, you'll create clear, accessible, user-focused content for digital services used at scale.

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience creating accessible, plain English content
  • Experience following established content patterns, style guides and content design processes
  • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative research data to inform content decisions
  • Experience testing, iterating and improving content based on evidence
  • Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary Agile teams
  • Experience advocating for user-centred design and content best practices with stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Mural, Lucid or Sketch
  • Experience working on digital services
  • Previous Government or Public Sector experience
