We also have a Political Unit based in the heart of Westminster and produce a range of current affairs & factual programming at ITV Wales, UTV, and ITV Border.
The Role
The ITV News Granada team is looking for an experienced journalist to join their team of Content Editors.
Content Editors support the Senior Content Editor in ensuring that all online and broadcast content is as excellent, relevant, and up-to-date as it can be. Content Editors may form part of the News Management team working alongside key production colleagues to assist the Head of News in agreeing and communicating strategy as well as leading projects. On occasion, Content Editors may be required to deputize for the Digital Content Editor or Senior Content Editor.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
