Content Executive – Hybrid Role
**12‑month fixed-term contract, 2–3 days in-office at HQ (Coventry), remainder remote Monday–Friday, 35-hour week
About the Role
This Content Executive role focuses on improving website accessibility and delivering digital content solutions to support AHDB’s communications strategy.
The ideal candidate will:
- Work collaboratively with teams to craft high-quality, accessible digital content for diverse audiences.
- Optimise content for search engine visibility and performance, reporting insights to marketing and social media colleagues.
- Drive website accessibility improvements, resolving issues from audits, user feedback, and internal reviews.
- Plan and execute digital projects with strong organisation and project management skills.

AHDB is an independent public body that supports and champions British agriculture across beef, lamb, pork, dairy, and cereals. Our mission is to:

Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & SEO:
- Use exceptional editorial and copywriting skills to produce SEO-optimised digital content that enhances user experience, engagement, and accessibility.
- Work within a CMS to update and maintain corporate websites.
- Collaborate with external SEO agencies to refine content strategies based on research.

Accessibility Compliance & Monitoring:
- Identify and remediate accessibility issues across AHDB websites, using WCAG standards and tools as a reference.
- Log, track, and resolution-track accessibility problems via结构化流程程式严重,质保 بور斯提高质量。
- Retest fixes to confirm issues are resolved; escalate technical dependencies.
- Advise internal teams on accessibility best practices and authoring guidelines for intranet content.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting:
- Represent digital content strategies in workshops, ensuring accessibility is integrated.
- Partner with colleagues to prioritise fixes, meet deadlines, and refine engagement tactics.
- Analyse content performance metrics and suggest optimisations to the Senior Digital Content and Publications Manager.
Essential Criteria
The successful applicant must demonstrate:
- Strong digital copywriting & editing expertise (especially for SEO-driven content).
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Sitecore, Drupal).
- Proven ability to optimise content for organic search traffic and tracking performance via analytics tools.
- Familiarity with WCAG guidelines or accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe, Lighthouse).
- A detail-oriented, proactive approach with excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
- Basic HTML knowledge (desired but not mandatory).
