About the Role
Reporting into the Director of Marketing and Communications, this role will lead the creation and delivery of high-quality, engaging and consistent content across Winchester College Group, with a focus on photography, video and social media.
This is a key role within the Marketing & Communications function, responsible for building a strong and authentic visual and digital presence across all channels. The postholder will play a central role in bringing the brand to life, supporting admissions, engagement and reputation through compelling storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation (Photography & Video)
- Capture and produce high-quality photography and video content across the College
- Edit and deliver content suitable for a range of platforms (newsletters, website, social media, campaigns, events)
- Maintain a consistent visual identity and tone aligned to brand guidelines
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, copyright legislation, safeguarding requirements and data protection policies
Content Strategy & Planning
- Support the development and delivery of a joined-up content plan aligned to admissions, brand and campaign priorities
- Identify content opportunities across the academic year, including key moments, events and stories
- Ensure content supports the full audience journey (prospective families, current parents - for use in the weekly parent newsletter), alumni and wider community

Social Media Management
- Manage and grow social media channels with regular, engaging and high-quality content
- Plan and schedule content aligned to campaigns and key dates
- Monitor performance and optimise content based on insights
Campaign Support
- Work closely with the Digital & Performance Marketing Manager and wider team to support campaigns with relevant content
- Deliver content tailored to different channels (paid, organic, website, CRM)
- Ensure timely delivery of assets to support campaign deadlines
Content Management & Asset Library
- Build and maintain a well-organised, accessible content library of photography and video assets
- Ensure content is tagged, stored and easily retrievable for future use
- Support consistency and efficiency across the team
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with admissions and internal teams to identify and capture content opportunities
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to surface stories and moments
- Support staff and departments in contributing to content where appropriate

Person Specification and Key Qualities
Professional Experience
- Proven ability to create engaging photography and video content
- Experience managing social media channels for an organisation or brand
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders or projects is desirable
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong photography and videography skills, including editing (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools)
- Understanding of social media platforms and what drives engagement
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and how content supports campaigns
- Ability to plan and organise content effectively
- Strong attention to detail and visual storytelling ability

- Creative and proactive, with a strong eye for storytelling and detail
- Organised and reliable, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Collaborative, with the ability to build relationships across an organisation
