Content Manager | Whyte Bikes

If you’ve got a knack for storytelling, and the skills to deliver through copywriting, photography, and video then we’d love to hear from you.

About Us

Whyte has been designing bikes in the UK since 1999. Headquartered in Hastings with a Design Centre in Cheltenham, we’re a unique off-road biking brand with the agility to bring the latest tech to market and a reputation for staying ahead of the industry.

About the role

We're looking for a Content Manager who can tell our story with the same care and conviction we put into our bikes. We’re looking for someone who knows what great content looks like in different contexts and understands how third-party (social media) content can be harnessed to build relationships and drive engagement back towards our owned channels.

This role is hands-on across the entire production process: ideating, planning, shooting, editing, posting, analysing, and doing it all again. You'll deliver our content strategy, and oversee its execution across our website, direct marketing, and social channels.

Sound like a lot? Then this might not be for you. Sound like empowerment to get in the driving seat and deliver on a vision? Then you’re in the right place.

What you’ll do

  • Content strategy and planning: Developing fresh, original content in support of the brand, product and marketing strategies – tailored to specific platforms and the different jobs each piece of content needs to do.
  • Storytelling: Distilling complex ideas – engineering details, geometry arguments, race results, riding culture – into shareable, engaging narratives across short and long-form formats. The ability to make the technical feel human is rather the point of this job.
  • Filming and photography: Shooting high-quality video and stills in the environments that matter – on trail, at events, in the workshop. Often in the rain. We’re based in Britain, after all.
  • Editing and post-production: Planning, capturing, and producing content end-to-end using tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro. Native, platform-first feel is essential. Strong production skills are non-negotiable.
  • On-camera presence: Appearing comfortably in front of the lens – hosting, interviewing, presenting, demonstrating. Personality welcome, script-reading less so.
  • Trend awareness: Staying ahead of platform developments and cultural moments so Whyte stays relevant without chasing every passing fad.
  • Performance analysis: Monitoring views, watch time, reach, engagement, and conversions – and using what the data says to make the content genuinely better rather than just more of the same.
  • Channel management: Scheduling posts, maintaining content calendars, and managing community interactions – comments, DMs, and the occasional spirited geometry debate.
  • Copywriting and SEO: Writing captions, posts, blogs, and marketing copy that sounds like a person wrote it – because it should.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for

  • A portfolio that proves it: Real examples of short-form video content you've shot, edited, and published. Strong visual storytelling, strong composition, strong platform instincts. Social-first, not adapted-from-something-else.
  • Editing fluency: CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar – plus basic graphic and motion design capability. You don't need to be a motion designer, but you need to know your way around the tools.
  • Platform knowledge that goes beyond having an account: Deep, active understanding of what performs on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube – and why.
  • Brand voice: Excellent written communication and the ability to write consistently in a distinct tone. Ours is British, dry, intelligent, and quietly confident – not cocky. If this job advert has made you smile in at least one place, you're probably on the right track.
  • Creative confidence: Comfortable in front of and behind the camera, willing to take a creative risk, and energetic enough to make it happen rather than just pitch it.
  • Analytical instincts: Comfort using performance data to understand what your audience actually wants – and adapting accordingly, rather than assuming you already know.
