About the Role
🔍 What will you be doing?
- Co-own the content calendar with the Content Marketing Lead, managing its delivery to ensure the right work is published on time and to a consistently high standard.
- Research, write, and publish content across formats, including blogs, guides, case studies, newsletters, social content, and campaign assets. Align with our mission to simplify complex topics in a genuinely engaging way.
- Develop go-to-market (GTM) plans for Primer’s content, collaborating with Demand Generation to:
- Launch
- Distribute
- Repurpose
- Promote content across LinkedIn, email, social, and other channels
- Foster grown engaged audiences and drive commercial impact
- Use performance data, audience insights, and experimentation to optimise content creation, distribution strategies, and success metrics.
- Improve processes by leveraging AI and automation to enhance quality, speed, and scale of outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Core part of the team defining content strategy and alignment with GTM priorities.
- Blending editorial expertise with demand generation to maximise impact.
- Ensuring content supports Primer’s growth and revenue goals.
Content Execution
- Develop high-performing content over diverse formats, with tactical execution:
- Developer-focused topics tailored to Primer’s infrastructure.
- Client success stories and case studies.
- Social media assets with strong organic and paid performance.
- Educational guides that drive measurable engagement.

Audience & Performance-Driven
- Conduct audience research and leverage data to make decisions.
- Continuously A/B test distribution strategies.
- Use insights to refine both content production and communication channels.
Innovation & Tooling
- Explore ways AI and automation can accelerate content quality, speed, or scalability.
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and GTM to enable seamless content deployment.
What We’d Love to See
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth B2B or B2tech company.
- Strong editorial judgement, combined with the ability to simplify and explain complex payments/tech topics in an engaging way.
- Hands-on and execution-focused — capable of taking ideas from brief to publication with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of how content builds audiences, generates demand, and ultimately drives business growth.
- Ability to:
- Monitor and analyse content performance data across platforms.
- Use audience insights to refine storytelling approaches.
- Test different campaign tactics.
- Demonstrated curiosity about AI-driven content tools and keen interest in advancing how content is created and scaled.
- Comfort working in a small, high-performing team with broad ownership and determination to execute.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in fintech, payments, or tech B2B sectors.
- Background in editing or producing video/audio content.
