Content Marketing Executive - Maternity Cover
Content Creator – Marketing / Communications (Fixed Term)
E&J is the leading supplier of official veterinary controls throughout Europe. We are committed to the safeguarding of public health, maintaining the food supply chain, and ensuring the protection of animal welfare.
Whilst our experts operate in the field to uphold animal welfare standards in the UK and ensure meat safety for the food chain, our central support team at head office covers vital communications functions.
The Role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic content creator with drive and a passion for helping us grow our business and strengthen our brand position in the veterinary and food control industry.
Your passion for writing is essential. This 9-month fixed-term contract (covering maternity leave) commences in September 2026.
Person Specifications
- Ideal candidate: Graduate or an equivalent with at least two years’ experience in a marketing/communications role
- Strong copywriting skills and a keen interest in creating compelling content to support workplace engagement
- Adaptable writing style for different audiences and platforms
- Ability to craft copy aligned with SEO goals
- High attention to spelling and grammar

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop a content calendar that aligns with marketing and communications plans
Content Creation
- Plan, create, and optimise content for:
- Website, digital ads, and social media
- Offline materials (leaflets, advertisements, case studies, press releases, and opinion pieces)
- Adapt tone of voice to target specific audiences
Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify relevant topics and content ideas
Case Studies & Research
- Research and compile case studies, liaising with staff and clients

Website, Emails & Social Media
- Update website content (CMS-managed) in line with SEO goals
- Create and distribute email campaigns according to the content calendar
- Manage social media channels with consistent, engaging postings
Employer Branding
- Assist in creating engaging communications for the People team to enhance workplace culture
- Promote events, career fairs, and webinars
Internal Communications
- Develop internal announcements and colleague engagement initiatives
- Ensure the intranet reflects company values as a go-to resource for staff
