Role Overview
The Content Head is a mid-level content producer responsible for producing high-quality photography, video, and edited assets across both Volcano Coffee Works and Assembly Coffee brands. This role ensures consistent brand guidelines adherence, efficient asset application through design templates and systems, and increased content frequency across ecommerce, wholesale partnerships, and event activations. The Content Head reports to the Senior Brand Manager and works directly with Trade Marketing, Sales, and E-commerce teams to deliver finished, publication-ready assets.
Key Responsibilities
Volcano Coffee Works – Ecommerce (20%)
- Capture product photography, video and lifestyle content for ecommerce assets
- Convert and adapt existing ecommerce content into multiple ad formats
- Apply brand guidelines, graphic elements, and text overlays to create finished ad assets
- Monthly content refresh cycle for ecommerce ads
- Deliver finished files ready for deployment
Volcano Coffee Works – WeWork Partnership (10%)
- Capture WeWork activation content (with permissions) throughout the year
- Photograph seasonal limited-edition drinks in-house at the roastery
- Create finished POS materials and supporting visuals for seasonal activations
- Coordinate with WeWork team on content needs and timing
Volcano Coffee Works – Wholesale (40%)
- Capture high-quality content from VCW events, partnerships, and activations
- Produce co-promotional partnership content that strengthens brand positioning
- Extend event value by creating finished assets for social, website, and collateral use post-event
- Produce in-house instructional videos for tasting and thought leadership content (simple formats)
- Collaborate with wholesale team to identify content opportunities

Assembly Coffee – Ecommerce (15%)
- Capture product photography, video and lifestyle content for ecommerce assets
- Convert and adapt existing ecommerce content into multiple ad formats
- Apply brand guidelines, graphic elements, and text overlays to create finished ad assets
- Monthly content refresh cycle for ecommerce ads
- Deliver finished files ready for deployment
Assembly Coffee – Wholesale (15%)
- Capture content from Assembly-led events and activations (London-based and regional)
- Photograph regional UK and occasional EU activation events
- Travel to events as required (day trips and occasional overnight stays)
- Produce finished assets for use across social, website, and partner communications
- Support Trade Marketing team with event content capture and extension strategy
Reporting & Collaboration
- Reports to: Senior Brand Manager(s)
- Works directly with: Trade Marketing Manager/Executive, E-commerce Manager, Sales Team, Senior Brand Manager
- Approvals: Senior Brand Manager approves all finished content before deployment
- Designer collaboration: Occasionally contributes to creative briefs with senior freelance designers; receives design assets and converts/applies them per guidelines
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in content production, photography, videography, or related role
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop required; experience with Premiere Pro, After Effects a plus)
- Strong photography skills (product, lifestyle, event, environmental)
- Video production and editing capability (shot to finished edit)
- Ability to apply brand guidelines consistently across all outputs
- Experience using design templates and systems to create finished assets efficiently
- Comfortable working across multiple brand identities and maintaining tonal/visual consistency
- Able to work directly with brief-givers (no design direction needed for routine tasks)
- Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with travel for event capture (day trips and occasional overnights)
- Strong communication with internal teams to understand needs and constraints
- Attention to detail and commitment to finishing files correctly first time
- Self-motivated; able to manage workflow across multiple projects and brands

What Success Looks Like
- Delivers finished, publication-ready assets on time and to spec
- Brand guidelines applied consistently across all content (VCW and Assembly)
- Monthly ecommerce refresh maintains freshness with minimal reshoots
- Event content captured and converted to finished assets within 2 weeks of event
- In-house video production reduces dependency on external videographers for routine content
- Trade Marketing and E-commerce teams report increased content frequency and quality
- Senior Brand Manager approval rate is high (minimal revision rounds)
- Able to travel to events and deliver field content efficiently
Allocation & Flexibility
The role is structured with a 100% weekly allocation across both brands. Week-to-week allocation will flex based on event calendars, seasonal activations, and campaign priorities, but the overall split will remain consistent to the percentages outlined above. During event-heavy weeks, wholesale work may increase; during quiet weeks, ecommerce refresh and asset maintenance will take priority.
Tools & Environment
- Tools provided: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), camera equipment (as needed), template systems and brand guidelines
- Working environment: Hybrid; primarily in-office with regular travel for event capture
- Output format: All assets delivered as finished files (not raw files)
