Content & SEO Strategist
£32,000 - £40,000 per annum
Role Overview
As a SEO & Content Strategist at Pretty Pragmatic, you’ll collaborate with the agency team to craft high-performing websites and digital content strategies. Your work will deliver outstanding results for clients—particularly those in hospitality—who recognise and value what we bring to the table.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Research
- Conduct keyword research and identify emerging opportunities for clients.
- Determine where content creation can drive relevant traffic and fill gaps.

SEO Performance Reviews
- Utilise tools to assess SEO performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.

Content Strategy
- Work with the team to develop engaging websites, blogs, and articles.

SEO Guidance
- Provide consultancy on both technical and content optimisation for diverse client portfolios.

CMS Management
- Ensure managed websites are SEO-optimised and collaborate with the Development team on technical updates.

Reporting & Analysis
- Generate monthly reports analysing performance, with strategic recommendations for clients.

Analytics & Tool Proficiency
- Work within GA4, SEMrush, Search Console and Google Tag Manager to uncover actionable insights.

New Website Development
- Contribute to new builds by creating sitemaps, analysing existing sites, reviewing competitors, and wireframing.
- Work with design, tech, and customer journeys to deliver high-performing websites.

User Experience (UX) Optimisation
- Audit and improve website UX across different customer paths, using tools like Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar.

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
- Optimise websites for conversions, leveraging analytics and tools to support commercial success.
Requirements & Ideal Candidate
We’re seeking someone with at least a few years’ experience in agency or in-house SEO/digital marketing (this is not a copywriting role).
Essential Skills & Tools
- Proficiency in GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
- Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush and UX analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar).
- Strong presentational and communication skills—ability to simplify complex insights for clients.
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on performance and continual improvement.
